Worldwatch Legacy Society
You can leave a lasting legacy of a better world for future generations by including Worldwatch in your will, trust, or insurance policy.
Individuals who include Worldwatch in their plans will be recognized as members of the Worldwatch Legacy Society.
If you're interested in joining the Worldwatch Legacy Society—or if you have already done so and haven't yet told us—please call John Holman at 202-452-1999. We'll recognize you for your lasting commitment each year in World Watch magazine and our annual report. We'll also keep you informed of our efforts on behalf of a sustainable planet and invite you to join us for periodic briefings, conferences, and special events.
One of the easiest ways to remember Worldwatch is through your will, by naming Worldwatch as a beneficiary of a bequest.
Ask your attorney to include such words as these:
“I give to the Worldwatch Institute, an IRS approved 501 (C ) 3 non-profit charitable organization (tax exempt #23-7367468), the sum of ________________ dollars to be used for the general purposes of the Institute.”
Charitable planned gifts can make an important contribution to your overall financial planning goals. For example, gifts in trust can provide you with lifetime income, reduce the taxable value of your estate, and generate current tax deductions at the same time they support the work of Worldwatch.
