Spring Forward Environmentally!

Solutions to global environmental challenges often start with local action and small changes, but with topics like global warming and alternative energy in the news every day, now is the time to encourage policymakers to make commitments that can lead to real progress. With your help, we can give our leaders the information they need to make responsible decisions. Make a gift today!

This spring, in addition to making a gift to Worldwatch, commit to a few small changes that can have a big impact on the world for generations to come.

Spring Fever

The weather may still be unpredictable, but try setting your thermostat a few degrees lower (or higher if you’re in a warm climate) for substantial savings on energy usage and your utility bills. Get outdoors more by walking or biking to work, which will save money on gas while improving your cardiovascular health and reducing your risk of obesity.

Spring Cleaning

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the air inside a typical home is on average 2–5 times more polluted than the air outside—and in extreme cases 100 times more contaminated—largely because of household cleaners and pesticides. This year, clean out your conventional cleaning products and replace them with more eco-friendly alternatives that still get the job done!

Spring Break

After the long winter, we all need a break. This year, spring for some responsible tourism! If done well, travel can have a positive overall impact on the environment and cultural heritage. While spring breaking, patronize local businesses by choosing locally owned lodges or hotels; using local buses, taxis, and car rental agencies; attending local festivals and events; and hiring guides who live in the area you are visiting.

Spring for Sustainable Solutions

Donate to Worldwatch – we depend on your generosity to continue our work for a sustainable world. Each year, more than $1 million, nearly 30 percent of our budget, must be raised from individuals like you.

With the support of our Friends, Worldwatch is able to produce compelling and influential research on today’s most important issues. Help us keep up the good work. Please give today!
