India Imposes Coal Tax

In a new blog entry, Worldwatch Senior Advisor Damandeep Singh reports on India's plan to tax domestic and imported coal 50 rupees (US$1.10) per ton. The "Clean Energy Cess," or tax, will raise funds to establish a National Clean Energy Fund.
