Jorge Barrigh, Senior Fellow, Climate and Energy
Jorge Barrigh has over nineteen years of experience in field and leadership positions with energy companies, investment funds, international development finance institutions, startups and environmental services firms focusing on renewable energy, finance, innovation and sustainability/climate. Jorge has lived and worked in South and Central America, Canada and the United States. His career has included work with the private, multilateral, and public sectors.
He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Latin America and Caribbean Council On Renewable Energy (LAC-CORE) and is an independent consultant with recent engagements in climate finance, innovation and articulation strategy for and with the private sector to the Environment Ministry of Peru and the Inter-American Development Bank; project finance and business plan/pitch strategy advisory to renewable energy (wind, solar, hydro) projects in Central America and the Caribbean; market strategy and fundraising advisory to startups in Latin America; and innovation and entrepreneurship with Panama’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
Jorge is fluent in Spanish, English, and Portuguese and has some French proficiency. He has an Advanced Innovation Management Certificate from the HAAS School of Business at UC Berkeley, an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from the Fox School of Business at Temple University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Messiah College. Jorge lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania, USA.
